Privacy Policy
Last updated: 28 August 2026
This policy covers two things: this website, and the Skalda Studio software. Skalda Studio is desktop software that helps a creator produce videos from their own footage and publish approved clips to the creator's own social media channels. It is operated by an independent developer ("we", "us").
This website
This website is a set of static pages. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, embeds no trackers, and collects no personal information. If you email us, we receive what you send and use it only to reply.
The software — what it accesses
Skalda Studio works on the creator's own material and the creator's own accounts. With your explicit consent via each platform's OAuth authorization flow, it can:
- Upload videos you have approved to your own YouTube channel and, where connected, your own Instagram professional account.
- Read your own channels' statistics (views, watch time, traffic sources) to report how your published videos perform.
Every upload is individually approved by you before it is published. The software never posts, comments, likes, subscribes, or messages on your behalf beyond publishing the content you approved.
What we store
- OAuth tokens for the accounts you connect, stored encrypted in a private database accessible only to the publishing service, and used solely to perform the actions above.
- Your video files and their metadata (titles, descriptions), held temporarily in private cloud storage while a clip awaits its scheduled publish time, then deleted shortly after publication.
- Performance statistics of your own published videos, used only to show you how your content performs.
We do not collect data about anyone other than the creator using the software. We do not sell, rent, or share any data with third parties. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not use it to train AI models.
Google and YouTube API Services
Skalda Studio uses YouTube API Services to upload approved videos to your channel and to read your channel's analytics. By using these features you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
Skalda Studio's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements: Google user data is used only to provide the user-facing features described above, and never for advertising, resale, or model training.
You can revoke Skalda Studio's access to your Google account at any time via Google security settings. Access to a connected Instagram account can be revoked in your Meta account settings.
Data retention and deletion
Published clips are removed from temporary cloud storage shortly after publication. Stored tokens are deleted when you disconnect an account or on request. To request deletion of anything we hold, email contact@skaldastudio.com and we will comply within 30 days.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with an updated date.
